Have you ever had to blow up a package to get into it!?!?!?
To say, “this happens to me,” would be the understatement of the century. Trust me, no other understatement ever mentioned in the past 100 years could even compare. Without the Maxam 10-in-1 Multi-Tool and Utility Knife Set, I would probably be dead. If not dead, extremely inconvenienced.

Last weekend I received a package. It caught me off guard as I was not expecting anything. Checking the return address only gave me a little bit of paranoia; there wasn't one. I pulled the set out and used the utility knife to cut off all the tape sealing the box closed. Inside the box was, to my great surprise, another box. This box was made of wood and I couldn't see any way to open the box. No big deal, I thought, and I switched the function on my handy tool to the saw. After furiously sawing away at the box for about 10 minutes, I finally got it open and pulled out a loaf of bread.

Well wouldn't you know it, someone sent me some bread! Really nice, crusty, Spanish bread at that! I broke off a piece and admired the texture and freshness. Just as I was preparing to feast on them, I heard the crash of a window. I turned to realize a man dressed in all black had just pumped through my kitchen window! Immediately I pulled out knife function and we battled for what seemed like hours, even though it was just 45 seconds during which the intruder said he didn't mean to break my window and that I should put the knife away.

Turns out he was part of a fraternity that tossed him through my window because he wasn't able to open a bottle with his teeth. He had the bottle in his hand, which I had originally mistaken as a mini bazooka. I told him I would do him a favor and used the bottle opener of my tool to get the cap off. He was so impressed that he didn't want to go back quite yet, despite the fact that a countless number of degrading activities awaited him. We had a great time as I used the nail file to fix the thumbnail he chipped on the dive into my house. I also measured the length of his fingers with the ruler because, for reasons I never found out, he really wanted to know that. We paused for a second on the awl. He asked me what that was for and told me he had never seen one before. Well that was just the icing on the cake as right then and there I fixed the stitching on his leather shoes.

He asked how I could ever repay him for the eye opening experience. I told him $400 would be acceptable and we argued about that for a half an hour. He didn't give me the money and I felt cheated. It wasn't until later that night when I was trying to quell my anger over the incident that I realized I never showed him the pliers, screwdriver, or that the pliers could also double as wire cutters. That had to be it! How else could someone be so rude?
