I was in the middle of a cave with a daunting task in front of me: save the princess and make sure an evil sorcerer gaining tremendous power does not destroy everything we know and love about the world. Whew! You kidding me? That's what I wanted to say, but I just kind of grumbled and accepted my role as the hero. Not everyone wants to be the hero, you know.
While a man instructed me of my destiny to save the land, I zoned out a little bit and noticed there didn't seem to be any rooms to this cave. It looked like the guy lived in here, but I didn't see a bed, a toilet, a sink...nothing. Just two flames, seemingly without any need for sustenance.
Around the time he finished talking, I tuned back in and found that he was going to give me a gift.
“It's dangerous to go alone!” he said. “Take this!”
