The fate of the world was in his hands.
Once a prolific postal worker in the town of Bairoil, Wyoming, Edward was now retired and spent most of his time watching television. His hearing had been failing him over the years so he had to keep it at high volume in order to understand what was going on. It was because of that and his hearing that he was oblivious to the fact that an alien spaceship had landed in his backyard.
The alien, whose name is still unknown, had arrived with a Microsoft Kinect 3D Motion Sensor in hand. For some reason he trusted no one but Edward with the item. Apparently it held a great amount of power and had sparked a fierce war between his species and a very aggressive and evil intergalactic paramilitary group. Already suffering fatal wounds, the alien set course for Edward’s house to hand over the Microsoft Kinect 3D Motion Sensor.
When he got to Edward’s house, he knocked on the door repeatedly to no answer. He knew that Edward was losing his hearing, but his species was incapable of being impolite so he could not increase the volume of his knocking or enter uninvited. In the end it was too late. Edward found the alien and the Kinect Sensor on his front porch the next morning, but he wasn’t sure what either was so he threw them in the trash.
