Hey, no touching!
Not even 5 minutes had passed between my finding out about the new exhibit at the San Diego Zoo and my jumping into the car to make the trek all the way from Brooklyn. Yes, that’s right; this news was so huge that I dropped everything to take a trip across the country. The whole country. Like, all of it.

Apparently the San Diego Zoo, known as one of the most progressive zoos in the world, had just gotten a Samsung BD-C5500C Blu-ray Player. I couldn’t believe it. Just like their acquisition of the giant panda before, this came with much fanfare. I remember when I was just a boy and Samsung Blu-ray Players were so rare they felt like a figment of my imagination. Plus, at the zoo you can get Dippin’ Dots, the ice cream of the future. For the entire drive there, I listened to radio news reports about the zoo.

“You even get to see it display full 1080p HD video!”

“It’s so cute!”

“Popcorn!”

When I finally arrived, I was exhausted. The only stops I made were for gas, and only gas. Not once did I eat, sleep or use the bathroom. Just driving, all the way across the country.

“LET ME TOUCH IT!” I yelled upon seeing it.

“You can’t touch this, sir,” replied a zookeeper.

“LET ME TOUCH IT!”

“You can’t touch this, sir.”

“LET ME TOUCH IT!”

“Alright.”

And then I touched it. And then they kicked me out.
