Mike Sanders loved music. He was the kind of kid that sang before he talked, drummed before we walked, Mike even composed his own lyrics by the time he was seven. As a child, Mike’s greatest ambition was to make it up there with the greats. He went through his Beatles stage, wore dreads just like Bob, and, at one point, eyeliner and black leather were the most prominent focal points in his wardrobe. One thing that stayed the same through every stage was the continuous blare of music in his ears.
Mike spent the majority of his school years in the principal’s office rather than in an actual classroom. He was constantly being told that he was absolutely not permitted to bring his Walkmen, CD players, mp3 players, and, in college, iPods to the classroom. Even with the gradual upgrade from his 1990’s headgear to today’s tiny ear buds, Mike was never able to hide his music devices from the prying eyes of authority. Up until right now that is.
Our young friend, realizing that Hollywood’s not all that it’s cracked up to be, has now made his way up in the corporate world. Mike Sanders now sits at a desk with a suit, tie, and shiny black shoes. He seems to participate in conferences and meetings, write notes and put forth his fare share of innovative ideas.
