You ... you just saved my life!
I gave an incredulous look to the person and took off in the opposite direction. They stood dumbstruck ... I had never met nor seen the person before and, as far as they knew, I was just some random person that came up to them on the street and said, “You ... you just saved my life!” and then ran in the opposite direction as they stood dumbstruck.

The person, who I later found was named Marvin, didn't move as I sprinted my fastest away, stopped after running a block and ran directly back in his direction. He wasn't sure what to do when it nearly seemed I was going to crash into him, but that wasn't going to happen. I made a well-timed leap a few feet in front of him, knowing full well that I was going to land directly next to his face, not touching a single part of his body. Much to my dismay, however, he backtracked a few paces in the middle of my jump. I scolded him over and over for that one.

We eventually became good friends. It took a while for me to convince him I wasn't crazy; I had to go to his house and work and hangout places and friends' places over and over and over before he finally gave in, but since then we have had a wonderful friendship. It's Marvin's birthday tomorrow. I'm getting him the High Powered 20 x 50 Binoculars and we are going to travel the world together. He said he has work and can't get off, but I have a way of making the impossible happen.

He's going to be so excited.
